Why I Love Trello
I have been using Trello as my project management tool for quite a number of years now and I honestly love it.
The first project management tool I used in my business was Asana. I liked it but didn’t love it. I had had a look at Trello briefly at the time and couldn’t figure it out then switched to Asana.
Asana is a great tool. I found it easy to use and helped me stay on track. I liked that it had several amazing features like lists and it also had the Kanban style that Trello has.
I got introduced to Trello again when I grabbed a freebie. I still didn’t get it or understand why it was popular until I downloaded another freebie.
Now what made this freebie really different was the colours and branding. I love colour. I love seeing bright colours on my screen as it motivates me. This was when I decided to take a closer look at Trello. As I started to use it I fell in love :).
Not only could I use it for FREE, I could run my entire business from it. As I played with it, I started to use automation and this saved me time.
For the first year of using it, I got Trello Gold completely FREE. Trello Gold had a lot of extra features, like 3 power-ups per board and I could add larger files to my board. Trello Gold is now cancelled as they have recently changed their pricing structure.
The new pricing structure gives so much more to the free plan and, with the premium plan, you get to have different ways of viewing your content.
There is a huge list of power-ups you can use completely free with Trello. I have my favourites; Google Drive, Card Repeater and recently started using Gmail by Cardbox (This helps me respond to emails right within my Trello Board!!!)
I have automated a lot of processes, including my sales process. I used Zapier to integrate with Kartra so that my leads get added to one of my Trello Boards automatically and a follow-up label is added to the card with a date to follow my leads.
I have also automated tasks from different boards to my To-Do-List Board, so that I can work from one board.
I use it when working with my clients too. I have introduced Trello to almost everyone I meet and I use it personally as well.
The mobile app is also great and easy to use.
I have tried a few other project management tools, but I keep coming back to Trello. I have found that even with all the amazing features in other tools, I can’t leave Trello...at least not yet.
Would you like to try Trello in your business? My latest product may help with that. It is a set of 10 Trello Boards designed to save you time, keep you productive and organised.
